Teen Individual Therapy

Teen therapy can be incredibly beneficial for ages 12-18 year old’s who are going through a lot of changes and challenges. Most teens are struggling to navigate anxiety, school stress, friendships, depression, family issues, figuring out their identity, and who they want to be in the future. I have found that therapy gives teens a safe space to talk about their feelings, vent, and explore their thoughts without judgment or fear. Therapy can also help them develop coping skills to manage stress, anxiety, or difficult emotions, and learn how to better communicate with others. It’s a great way to support their mental health and help them build confidence and resilience during a time that can be really tough.
One of the key areas it can help with is the impact of social media on self-esteem. With the constant comparison to others and the pressure to present a perfect image, teens can struggle with feeling inadequate or unworthy. At Moonlite, I provide tools to manage these feelings and build healthier self-esteem and overall confidence. Additionally, the pressure from peers and online environments can sometimes contribute to more serious struggles, like thoughts of suicidality and self-harm. In my sessions, I help teens address these feelings, cope with peer pressure, and find healthier ways to navigate relationships. It impacts how we feel, think, and behave, sometimes showing up in ways like anxiety, emotional numbness, or difficulty trusting others. Everyone reacts to trauma differently, and it's important to recognize that it's not about the event itself, but how it affects us personally. As a trauma informed therapist I help my clients navigate traumatic symptoms by incorporating awareness of triggers, empowerment, safety, trust, and cultural consideration.

Hello, and welcome! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Nevada. Over the past 6½ years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, families, and children, helping them navigate life's challenges and find healing.
I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2021, and my Bachelor's in Sociology in 2018, also from UNLV. My therapeutic approach is deeply influenced by Gottman techniques, which focus on strengthening relationships, as well as exploring the impact that childhood attachment styles have on adult romantic connections.
I work with individuals who are facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulty with interpersonal relationships, and struggles related to time management and stressful work environments. My goal is to help you overcome these barriers and create lasting, positive change in your life.

I also specialize in working with athletes, helping them overcome sports anxiety and improve their mental well-being to enhance performance. As a competitive sports coach myself, I understand the unique pressures athletes face and am passionate about supporting them in finding balance and mental clarity.
